We were recently making a birthday cake and realized we didn’t have enough squirt icing to spell Happy Birthday. I wondered if I could run to the store and be back before the party. My son came up with the idea of using our Alphabet Silly Bandz to spell out Happy Birthday. He grabbed his bag and quickly sorted and came up with the letters we needed. They looked great and all the kids got the letter they wanted after we cut the cake. It was a great time saver! Silly Bandz saved the day!

Yes, you did just see a blog yesterday about Alphabet Silly Bandz, but wait. This idea just came to me and it was too good not to share. Are there any cake decorators out there? I just tried this with my daughter. We used the letter “S” to try out cake decorating with the bands. You just place your bands where you want them and fill in the outline with your icing. You can come up with consistent sizing and spacing to put any message down. Then just rinse the bands off and you’re ready to use them for whatever else you like. If you run out of icing, and you have enough bands, you could just spell your message on the cake with bands. So many uses for bandz, and so little time to blog.

Spelling homework can now be fun to do by using the Alphabet Silly Bandz pack. One pack contains all the letters of the alphabet in various colors. You will need to get several packs so that you have enough vowels and extra letters for words with multiples of a certain letter. You can even make your own “Wheel of Fortune” game or hangman and use the letters to spell out the puzzles. Just cover the letters with an index card or piece of paper. Keep the letters covered until someone guesses and uncover the puzzle as you go. Spelling and vocabulary homework can be fun when you use your Alphabet Silly Bandz to practice.
