My kids discovered something both fun and educational, the Greek pack of Goofy Bands. They contain the entire Greek alphabet 24 letters in various colors. It was fun to show them the old sorrority letters spelled out. We were going to learn the Greek Alphabet to go with a history unit and working with the bands was much more fun that a written handout. It even brought back college memories for mom. I’m sure they must be quite popular among the Greek college students!
What do older kids want for rewards from the prize drawer at the doctor? Do they want pencils? Unfortunately, our family has enough from previous years, that we may never need to buy pencils again. So that would be a no. Do they want stickers? No, they are kind of past the sticker stage. Medical Bands seem to fill the bill. The new Medical Band pack from Goofy Bands contains colorful representations of items youngsters see around their doctor’s office like gloves, bandages, stethoscopes, otoscopes (instruments for checking ears, eyes, and throats), reflex testers, and syringes. No one loves to go to the doctor especially when it’s summer and you’re only missing out on playtime and not even getting out of school but if you have to go, coming home with a cool new band is a great consolation!
My eleven year old daughter was very down that we couldn’t celebrate the Fourth of July with friends due to her falling ill. I had gone to my local Target for more Motrin and to see if I could find something to lift her spirits. I found the new Watercraft Goofy Bands. The Watercraft pack contains speed boats, bass boats, sail boats, pontoon boats, yachts, and jet skis. She was very tickled when she got more than Motrin for her Fourth of July weekend. Her brother even got in on the action and came up with a few swaps so he could add some Watercrafts to his collection. We were able to recall past holidays when we had seen and actually been on some of the various watercrafts. This perked everyone up!
