We were looking for an art project to do while stuck inside on a cold day. My daughter was inspired by the Art Festival Silly Bandz pack. She spread out the shapes and used them as stencils. Tracing the shapes, she outlined them with white glue and then sprinkled glitter on them. After they dried, we cut them out and tied them with ribbons. They made great tree ornaments.

We were recently making a birthday cake and realized we didn’t have enough squirt icing to spell Happy Birthday. I wondered if I could run to the store and be back before the party. My son came up with the idea of using our Alphabet Silly Bandz to spell out Happy Birthday. He grabbed his bag and quickly sorted and came up with the letters we needed. They looked great and all the kids got the letter they wanted after we cut the cake. It was a great time saver! Silly Bandz saved the day!

As I was doing my holiday shopping, it was hard not to notice this teen’s popularity. Justin Bieber merchandise had a prominate location in all of the “tween” stores. I saw shirts, posters, purses. I think there were even socks. My question was, if something happens to make this darling lose his favored status would my daughter still want to wear the shirt? I opted for the Justin Bieber Silly Bandz pack instead. Now, I’ve only spent $4.95 not $10 -$20 and if she has a new favorite character next week. We’re good.

I was quite amused when I saw my daughter and niece using their bands to play a game of tic tac toe. They had sorted their Goofy Bands and one was using one particular shape and the other had a shape of her own and they had drawn off their own tic tac toe board. I thought that was a good quiet game that would be easy to transport anywhere. You could play it in restaurants while waiting, in the car, anywhere. Now, I keep two different shapes in my purse to be able to pull out when we need them.
As I was in the pediatrician’s office recently for their flu clinic, I noticed that after placing a character bandage on their patients they were handing out Medical Goofy Band Bracelets. Their little charges seemed to perk up a little faster. What a great treat to encourage their hesitant patients!
