Cool Justin Bieber Silly Bandz

Cool Justin Bieber Silly Bandz

I recently did some research on the name Justin Bieber.  For any middle-aged moms who are more prone to be glued to pots and pans than ipods, I’ll fill you in on the latest.  Evidently, he’s a young teen rockstar from Canada.  It also quickly became apparent that the poor kid is hounded by media and that overly zealous fans spread rumors like wildfire.  Why was I searching out this young man you ask?  Well, as any good mother would, when my daughter saw the new Justin Bieber Silly Bandz on the Wacky Shapes website, she was making her wish list and I questioned why we would wear Justin Bieber bands on our body?  Do we know who he is?  As I googled him, the first thing I saw was an accusation of assaulting a 12 year old, being arrested, etc.  I thought hmmm, this doesn’t sound like something we need to promote.  But, alas, the articles proved to be false rumors starting from a photo of a costume for an upcoming appearance on CSI (now at last was some entertainment I was familiar with).  So, he was officially approved to be on the wish list of an eleven year old girl.  I think I’m getting off pretty good for a mere, $5.95 for a pack of 24 bands.  As I asked her what she was going to do with them, she quickly rattled off her list of friends that she was shopping for Christmas gifts .  I thought $6 for four friends worked out pretty well.  I think I’ll let her scrub a few pots and pans for $6.
